Capitol Hill Baptist Church‎
We have attended on a few occasions when we were visiting in DC. Our son became a member, and met his wife there. He later became an intern there, and soon after that, they went to serve in Central Asia for two years. They are now in seminary in the U.S. CHBC has been a source of service opportunity, spiritual education, and great encouragement to them. The preaching is always outstanding, the services promotes worship in spirit and truth, and the ministry opportunities abound. Mark Dever is a highly well known and respected theologian. We strongly recommend to parents whose young adult children are moving to or living in the DC area to encourage them to attend this church. We also recommend that any person or family moving to the DC area attend CHBC.‎

No church is perfect, but they work to apply this verse: Heb 10:24-25 And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near. The music is balanced with the melody predominate as described in: Eph 5:18-19 And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit, speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord ...
